THE DESIGN CHALLENGE

Less noise.
Clearer decisions.

The challenge was to make a data-heavy racing experience feel clear on a small screen. I focused the race interface on the decisions a player needs to make: pace, pit stops, DRS, and the condition of each car.

01 / PROCESS

Start with the decisions

Early sketches and wireframes explored the relationship between the race view, leaderboard, and driver controls. The aim was to keep the important actions close to the information that informs them.

Build a consistent visual language

Formula 1 and fashion informed the direction. Orange accents bring energy to dark surfaces; Michroma headings and Roboto body text establish a clear hierarchy. Reusable controls keep the screens consistent.

Bring the race into focus

The final Figma prototype brings race management, pit stops, and live race views together. It is a concept prototype, with opportunities for user testing and further interaction design.
